Leibniz University's new 2026 development plan established the sixth research focus. The focus is on interdisciplinary energy research involving all faculties. The aim is to use research and teaching at Leibniz Universität Hannover to research and devolp solutions that move away from fossil fuels towards a sustainable energy supply based on renewable energies.
The new research focus was announced in the press release dated March 5, 2023. The Leibniz Research Center Energy 2050 sees itself as the driving force behind the further development of the research focus.
