On February 12, the Institute for Solar Energy Research (ISFH) in Ohr (Hameln) received Lower Saxony's Environment Minister Olaf Lies. The occasion was, among other things, the role of the ISFH in connection with the energy transition as well as current and planned projects - both of which the Minister wanted to find out more about. However, this topic was also on the agenda in light of the current efforts by the federal government to cut research funding. What significance should solar energy have in Lower Saxony in the future?
